logoThe Rotary Club of Cedar HIll is a diverse group of local business people and civic leaders who have completely embraced the essence of Rotary International's "Service Above Self" theme. The Club was chartered on May 21, 2003, and has the distinction of being a frequent winner of Rotary District 5810 awards, most notably in the areas of community service. District 5810 encompasses 67 clubs in North Texas, stretching from Sherman to Waxahachie. Cedar Hill Rotary achieved the honor of four awards for support of Literacy, Service to New Generations, Public Relations, and Vocational Service.

The Head for the Hills bike rally allows the Rotary Club of Cedar Hill to donate to the Cedar Hill Food Pantry, the city library, TROT (therapeutic riding), Bridges Safehouse for abused spouses and children, Brighter Tomorrows to help abused women make a new start, buy school supplies for Cedar Hill children in-need, donate to the CHISD Education Foundation, sponsor summer day camp scholarships, send local high school students to leadership camp and seminars, and respond to other immediate needs in the community. Our club's charitable activity also includes the Rotary International Polio Plus program, and donations to the Wheelchair Foundation. We have used rally funds to initiate a "Coats 4 Kids" program for Cedar Hill grammar school age children, and were able to respond to the earthquake in Haiti by funding three "Shelter Boxes" that will house 30 people.

With your help, through sponsorship or participation in the Head for the Hills Bike Rally, we'll be able to grow our efforts to better serve both Cedar Hill and international communities.
